ABC Spy

My kids always sent me mad taking countless photos on my phone of absolutely nothing. Since I got ABC Spy they’ve started thinking about what they want to photograph and how it’s spelt. It looks great too!

ABC Spy has the potential to create rich opportunities for dialogue between a child and their parent or teacher; it allows the child to lead, focuses on their world and makes reading relevant and engaging… the ‘show and tell’ aspect is very compelling, and made all the more powerful with the ‘Make a film’ element.

My 2 year old loved this, I can’t get my phone back off him! Real quality app and engaging for little ones with a real educational value. Highly recommended.

Your app is wonderful. The concept is great and I think the process of a parent and child making a book together is fantastic. While it is educational, it’s also quality parent/child bonding time. As we explored NYC this week, we took pictures to create our own ABC New York City book!

Best educational app for young kids? What a breath of fresh air. Something for young kids that gives them quality design and exciting functionality rather than just more mediocre flash cards. Both my two (3 and 5) love this.

ABC Spy brings the ABC book format to the YouTube generation. It gives kids the freedom to create their own visual alphabet by enabling them to add their own content. The game element is fun and relevant, and to my mind more likely to achieve a more engaged learning experience.

ABC Spy puts a creative tool in the hands of the child and allows the adults to get out of the way. That’s really important to me as it gives the child choice – they’re directing their own learning.

Even very young children now want to create, modify and share content. There are so few apps or games which allow them to do so on their own – ABC Spy represents a genuine and exciting departure for educational games aimed at the early years market.
